PREAMBULE
These conditions are applicable from June 1, 2024.
ARTICLE 1 – OBJET
1.1. The purpose of these general conditions of sale is to define the contractual provisions between:
Union des Fabricants – Musée de la Contrefaçon (hereinafter referred to as the “Musée de la Contrefaçon”, association under the 1901 law, registered in the INSEE SIRET directory under number 784 668 709 000 16, Intracommunity VAT number: FR 51 784 668 709, whose head office is located at 16 rue de la Faisanderie, 75116 Paris,
And
any natural or legal person (hereinafter referred to as the “Buyer”) purchasing individual tickets on the online ticket sales site https://musee-contrefacon.com/billetterie/
They therefore do not apply to:
- on-site sales;
- partner sales networks;
The Buyer acknowledges having read these general conditions of sale prior to validating his order. Placing an order implies the Buyer’s full and irrevocable acceptance of these general conditions of sale.
The Museum of Counterfeiting reserves the right to adapt or modify these general conditions of sale at any time and without notice. The applicable conditions are those in force on the day the order is placed.
1.2. DEfinitions
All terms defined below, whether used in the singular or plural, are used with the following meaning:
– “Ticket”: designates the entry ticket allowing access to the Museum of Counterfeiting, whatever its medium, purchased by the Customer on the Site. Ticket prices are available on the Site. The applicable price is that in effect on the day of the order.
– “Buyer”: means any person making a Ticket purchase on the Site and having accepted the General Conditions of Sale.
– “Terms of sale”: designate these general conditions which aim to define the conditions of purchase and use of Tickets.
– “Visitor”: refers to the person arriving at the entrance to the Museum of Counterfeiting with a Ticket.
ARTICLE 2 – CHARACTERISTICS OF TICKETS SOLD
2.1 The tickets offered on the Site are for the following services:
- Entrance to the Museum of Counterfeiting allowing access to the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions;
- Guided tours and activities of the Museum of Counterfeiting (excluding groups);
2.2 The number of Tickets sold online per order and per person is limited as follows:
- 6 for entry to the Museum of Counterfeiting
- 6 for guided tours and activities
Ticket purchases are made in real time. In this context, the site informs the buyer of the availability of the desired tickets at the time of placing their order.
2.3. The following information is given on the Tickets issued by the Museum of Counterfeiting:
- Name of the service sold;
- Dates and times of the service;
- Fare type and amount in euros net of taxes;
- The date of purchase of the ticket;
- The ticket number assigned by the computer system
- The access door to the museum
ARTICLE 3 – ORDER PROCESS
The Buyer makes their Ticket purchase online as follows:
- Choose your service(s) on the Site;
- Select the desired visit date and time using the calendar displaying the available slots. When a slot is no longer available, it is displayed as full;
- Choose the quantity of Tickets you want from the drop-down menu then click on “add to cart”. The selected service(s) are saved in the basket for 60 minutes.
- To validate the order click on “order”. An order summary is displayed; if the command matches, validate. If the order is not suitable, click on “modify”;
- Provide your contact details;
- Accept the museum regulations and the Terms of sale and click on “payment”;
- Proceed to pay by credit card by identifying yourself, where applicable, according to the 3D Secure standard by entering the code transmitted by your bank;
- If payment is accepted, an order confirmation is displayed and the Buyer receives a summary email with their Ticket(s).
Once payment has been confirmed, no cancellation or modification is possible by the Buyer.
ARTICLE 4 – Prices
Ticket prices are indicated in euros net of taxes. The Visitor likely to benefit from free access must present themselves at the access control with the relevant supporting documents.
The applicable prices are those in effect at the time of the order. The Museum of Counterfeiting reserves the right to modify prices at any time.
Prices, conditions of reduction and exemption from the entrance fee can be consulted at the following address on musee-contrefacon.com
The Visitor likely to benefit from a reduced rate or free admission must present valid proof, in their name and with a photograph, at the controls. In the event of non-presentation or non-compliance of supporting documentation, access to the service will be refused.
By purchasing a full-price Ticket, the Buyer waives the right to benefit from any reduction or freebie to which he could possibly have been entitled for his visit.
ARTICLE 5 – PAYMENT TERMS
All orders are payable in euros.
Payment for Tickets is made by credit card.
- The cards accepted are cards from the Carte Bleue / Visa and Eurocard / Mastercard networks.
- The Buyer’s bank account is debited upon final validation of the order.
The Museum of Counterfeiting uses a secure online payment module certified by international authorities integrated into the sales and reservations solution.
ARTICLE 6 – CONDITIONS OF USE OF TICKETS
6.1 The Ticket can be printed upon receipt of the order confirmation email set out in article 3. Tickets downloaded on a mobile phone are also accepted. Printing the Ticket on site is under no circumstances possible.
- Partially or poorly printed, damaged or illegible Tickets are not valid.
- It is strictly prohibited to duplicate or counterfeit a Ticket in any way.
6.2 Tickets are time-stamped and valid exclusively for the service, on the date mentioned.
- A Ticket only gives access to the corresponding service once and any exit is final.
ARTICLE 7 – PERSONAL DATA
When placing the order, the following personal data is requested from the Buyer: name, first name, email address, telephone number, nationality. Only data identified with an asterisk are mandatory and necessary for processing. Otherwise, the Buyer’s request cannot be considered.
The Buyer’s personal data is collected for the following purposes:
- management of Orders and relations with the Buyer;
The data recorded is reserved for the use of authorized services of the Museum of Counterfeiting and may be communicated to its subcontracting service providers who are involved in the ticket purchasing process. Article 5 of the Legal Notice specifies the data collection policy in accordance with the regulations in force.
ARTICLE 8 – CANCELLATION, REFUND AND EXCHANGES
8.1 In accordance with article L 121-21-8-12° of the Consumer Code, entrance tickets or services for a museum are not subject to a right of withdrawal.
8.2 Tickets are non-transferable, non-modifiable, non-exchangeable and cannot be resold.
8.3 Any Ticket issued cannot be exchanged or refunded, except in the event of cancellation or modification by the Museum of counterfeiting of the service to which the Ticket entitles you and under the conditions defined in article 8.4. Exchange or reimbursement is however excluded when the cancellation results from a case of force majeure as defined in article 10.
8.4 Due to requirements for the safety of people and property, the Museum of Counterfeiting reserves the right to close or modify its opening hours. In the event of cancellation or modification of the service by the Museum of counterfeiting of the service appearing on the Ticket, the Buyer will be contacted as soon as possible to inform them and if possible offer to postpone the service concerned… If postponement is impossible, the Buyer may obtain a refund of the price of the Ticket. He must make the request within three (3) months from the date of cancellation or modification of the service, upon presentation of the non-invalidated Ticket and his bank details (Bank Identity Statement or bank number). bank card with its expiry date), to the exclusion of any other compensation or indemnity of any kind by email or by post addressed to:

This reimbursement will only be made in favor of the initial Purchaser against delivery of the Ticket.
ARTICLE 9 – LIABILITY
9.1 The Museum of Counterfeiting cannot under any circumstances be held liable for any non-performance or poor performance of the services to which the Tickets entitle you which could be attributable either to the act of the Buyer, or to the unforeseeable and insurmountable act of a third party, or in a case of force majeure as defined in article 11 of the Terms of Sale.
9.2 Unless there is a malfunction of the Site which is attributable to it, the Museum of Counterfeiting cannot be held responsible for any anomalies that may occur during the ordering, processing, downloading or printing of the Ticket, either due to the Buyer or due to the unpredictable and insurmountable action of a third party not involved in the service, or due to computer or server failures, the blocking of telecommunications including networks and in particular the Internet.
ARTICLE 10 – FORCE MAJEURE
The Buyer and the Museum of Counterfeiting cannot be held responsible for any non-performance which originates from a case of force majeure considered as such by French case law and courts.
ARTICLE 11 – CUSTOMER SERVICE
For any information or questions concerning the use of the Site, the conditions of use of Tickets as well as the terms of ordering, delivery and reimbursement of Tickets, the Buyer can contact the Museum of Counterfeiting:

ARTICLE 12 – FINAL PROVISIONS
All Visitors are subject to the visiting regulations of the Museum of Counterfeiting.
Ticket sales referred to herein are subject to French law.
In the event of a dispute or complaint, the Buyer will first contact the Museum of Couterfeiting to obtain an amicable solution. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of Paris.
