Cooperation, information, influence and awareness
Cooperation
Partner of INPI (National Institute of Intellectual Property) since its creation in 1951, of the customs office since 1990 and of the police since 2014, UNIFAB works daily with the public actors in charge of fight against counterfeiting.
UNIFAB runs the training of operational agents in the recognition of counterfeiting (customs, gendarmerie, police, DGCCRF, judiciary).
Information
Equipped with transversal and unique expertise, UNIFAB is an essential information relay on counterfeiting.
Addressing both economic actors and the general public, it provides analytical work which constantly lead to progress in understanding the phenomenon of counterfeiting, through the studies and reports that it directs, as well as through events which it organizes annually.
Influence
Active since its founding in 1872 in the legal and administrative consolidation of intellectual property rights, UNIFAB has contributed throughout its history to developing the law, in line with changes in society. Today, she continues this mission of expertise with political decision-makers in a context of major global upheavals.
Awareness
Awareness campaigns are deployed several times a year, depending on crucial periods such as summer break, Black Friday or Christmas, and are promoted in public spaces, on social networks and in tourist areas in order to alert consumers on the various issues of counterfeiting.
